“We all fear our symptoms and want to heal them. We go to all kinds of healers, not realizing that our worst problem is not the sickness, but that we are hypnotized by culture into believing that what we experience is bad and has to be repressed and healed, instead of lived and loved.”
-Arnold Mindell

About Me

I'm located in Japan and offer online therapy and coaching sessions. I work with a variety of issues: self-criticism, low self-esteem, depression, childhood trauma, body symptoms, couples counseling, and others.
Originally hailing from Japan but having lived in the US and the Middle East for more than half of my life, I'm a veritable amalgam of cultures, interests, and languages. With a deep personal interest in growth, self-knowledge, and healing, I've experimented with a whole slew of transformative and contemplative practices, such as Native American sweat lodge ceremony, psilocybin-assisted retreat in Jamaica, Hanshi Yiquan, Mitakara (Japanese shamanic dance similar to ecstatic dance), Adlerian psychotherapy, and Zen and Vipassana retreats.Formal Education and Training:
I hold a master’s degree in Process-Oriented Facilitation and Conflict Resolution from the Process Work Institute in Portland, Oregon and trained in Internal Family Systems (Level 1). I'm also trained as a Japanese Seitai massage therapist and received training in Adlerian Psychotherapy.
My other qualifications include a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Indiana University and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Princeton University.

I hope to draw on my background, intellectual and artistic interests, and spirituality in helping my clients realize their full potential.
Continuing Education:
Family Constellations Training with Chetna Mami Kobayashi (April 2023-current)
Somatic Experiencing Training with Theresa Hanaoka (Feb. 2024-current)
Advanced Practice of Process Work in Clinical Settings with Dawn Menkem
Adlerian Parenting Program (PASSAGE and PASSAGE Plus)
Adlerian Open Counseling Sessions with Hironori Nakajima
What is Process Work?
Unlike many mainstream medical models, Process Work is a non-pathologizing modality that sees wisdom in whatever disturbs the human psyche. It's also an interdisciplinary approach to individual and collective transformation whose influences include Zen, shamanism, and Jungian psychology among others.
It's one of those things where actually experiencing it is the best way to see what it’s all about, and I’m excited to show you the way!Book a free 30min session below!
